What equipment do I use?

This has a three-part answer.

First, for the Old Photos pages, I used a cheap Toshiba PDR-M4 2-megapixel camera. I bought it on eBay for ... well, I don't remember, but it wasn't much. I haven't used that camera in a long while. It served a purpose, but it was very limited.
Second, for the photos on pages 1-7 and the first three photos on page 8, I used a Canon 10D digital SLR. For most (in fact, it might be all) of the photos, I used a Canon 70-200mm f/2.8 lens with image stabilization. For some photos I used a monopod; for others I handheld the camera; and for one (the third photo on page 8) I used a tripod.

But now to the present. The 10D was a borrowed camera. To remedy that situation, in August 2005 I acquired a Canon Digital Rebel XT. I purchased the kit with the Canon 17-85mm f/4-5.6 lens with image stabilization. That means the photos after the glasses photo were taken with that camera. The lens may vary because I will still have access to the 70-200 (and let's be honest -- that 2.8 can come in very handy), but the camera in my hands will be the Rebel XT. (If you're curious about the lens used for a specific photo, don't hesitate to ask.)
