On Sunday I attended Bo Schembechler’s public viewing; as I was signing the guestbook, a Detroit News photographer took my picture. The picture ended up accompanying the News’ article on the viewing.
In fact, it ended up on the front page.

I wonder how many couches were burned for Woody’s funeral. This from Det News:
“After the [UM v. OSU] game, police said there had been scattered arrests, but fans were behaving relatively well. Columbus police had arrested about 20 people, including four for arson, Sgt. Kevin Corcoran said.
In student neighborhoods, about 40 fires were set, mostly on cars and furniture, along with a few in trash bins, said Lt. Dan Ranney of the Columbus fire department. Some were set even before the game started, he said.”
The headline calls it “racous – yet responsible – postgame celebration.” Only in Ohio is 40 fires and merely one car flipped over “responsible.”
