I can’t say I pay any attention to CBS’ ties to any conference, since I had enough commercials to keep me busy. I know basketball doesn’t lend itself to 5-minute TV time outs like football, but hearing about CBS’ great new drama, tomorrow night at 9pm/8 central, before the guy shoots free-throws? And the little preview thing appeared at the bottom, with a nice snippet from the show playing in the bottom corner. Isn’t that a bit much? What do we have to look forward to? “This in-bound brought to you by Citibank”? “Lowes is the proud sponsor of every offensive rebound tonight”? I kind of wish sports were left to some cable channel which you paid for, with no need for commercials.
I don’t know if it had to do with Oden being on the court, but OSU looked liked they didn’t care until well into the 2nd half. Any loose ball, multiple Florida guys dove on the floor immediately. The OSU guys looked around, like they weren’t sure if perhaps they should go after it or just see what happens. I remember one right at Oden’s feet; he didn’t even try to bend over and pick it up. Granted, it would take him a little longer to reach the ground than most others, but he never even considered it.
I’m not sure if they play harder or play different. Their offense is different when he’s in. When he’s on the bench they play a much faster game.
