At a recent basketball game in Chelsea, the opposing student section displayed a sign directed at not-so-tall Chelsea senior Elliot Marshall (who contributed five points to the Chelsea victory):
As I was getting a picture of the sign, the student holding the sign turned around to talk to some of his friends; when he did so, he inadvertently displayed the back of the sign:
There are two potential explanations for the presentation of a question that has no apparent relevance to high school basketball:
- The sign-maker actually intended to ask the question, “Whose house?”
- The sign-maker really, truly wants to know about Hugh Laurie.
Boo I think your just plain ignorant. Its not a crime to have a poster like that. There just trying to bolster team spirit. You’re mindset needs to change. But this is just between you and I.
Ah yes, the sign typo. There are entertaining websites and blogs dedicated to just this purpose. But you see, to someone who does fully understand the implications of the sports fans’ cheers, jeers and signage, neither 1 *or* 2 make sense to me. LOL. One thing I do know… “House?” Good show! -g-
(Gotta love when you’re posting about a typo to MAKE a typo! That was supposed to be “to someone who DOESN’T fully understand…. ” sheesh.)
