Ron Mead’s Open House (28 May 2008).
After 19 years in charge, Chelsea High School principal Ron Mead is retiring. The school held an open house in his honor; throughout the four hours of the open house, there was a steady line of people waiting to thank him for his outstanding work at Chelsea High.

Hi Burrill:
I was talking to my boss, Bob Pierce, at our office at The Chelsea Chamber of Commerce. I mentioned how great your pic’s were from Ron Mead’s retirement celbration. He agreed with me that the pic. above that was in the Chel. Standard collage page (Mrs. Nadolny in red – yes, Chelsea is a small town considering I can identify that person) with Mrs. Nadolny and daughter looking on and everyone laughing was soooo good. It certainly captured a magical moment…some kind of funny story….one of life’s little joys. In this age of digital pictures, it’s refreshing to me (stuck in 35mm world and pretty happy there looking at my photographs in my hand, not on my computer) that someone can still capture a beautiful moment in time. You really have an intuitive eye to find the emotion and reveal it in a photograph. I’m looking forward to football season (kinda – cuz I will be holding my breath when Cal gets back on the field – his injuries from wrestling have healed, but is taking it slow at camp this summer as per Tom,the trainer) and your always interesting photography. On another note, it was great to see your mom at the library last night. (Michigan authors speaking). She is just so delightful. She mentioned that you knew our older son, Darl, had graduated from Hillsdale College. It was such a beautiful ceremony outside on the lawn. Were you there? I appreciate all you do to “bring to light” all the activities of our fair city. SUE BAUER p.s. I linked to your website thru Leslie Surel’s Things to do in Chelsea – side bar), although I’ve been to your site before, just wanted to let you know she’s got you covered !!
