The Chelsea area has gotten plenty of rain this week, but Thursday evening was another beautiful dry evening for Sounds & Sights.
There was more comedy at the library, but Kevin Kramis wasn’t able to be here this week. This gentleman did a fine job filling in for Kevin.
The ever-popular Chelsea House Orchestra drew a crowd to Middle Street.
As was evident in the first CHO photo, the younger spectators were having a great time.
The Shelter Dogs were at the Sylvan Courtyard.
Los Dingos del Norte were at the Glazier Building.
The Monitor Base Ball Club of Chelsea and the (newly-formed!) Merrimack Base Ball Club of Chelsea, our local vintage base ball teams (one men’s, one women’s), set up a small diamond near the clocktower gazebo. Kids were having fun hitting the ball and running the bases with the Monitors and the Merries.
Away from the field, there was a beanbag toss game.
Was there anything else? Why, yes! There were kid-sized stilts, too!
Would you like to see the Monitors and Merries in action? Come out to Timbertown this Sunday! At 11:30am there will be an exhibition featuring the Monitors, the Merries, and a hodgepodge of local residents; at 2pm the Monitors will face off against Dexter and Kalamazoo.
Okay, back to Sounds & Sights.
Under the clocktower gazebo was Crossroads.
Spencer Michaud was in the alley.
Captain Ivory was on South Street.
Captain Ivory drew a large appreciative crowd…
…and a few young fans like this one who decided it was good dancing music.
Sounds & Sights runs in downtown Chelsea from 6:30-8:30 every Thursday evening through the summer. Come join the fun next week!
