Chelsea celebrated homecoming with a big game against longtime rival Tecumseh.
Chelsea’s first offensive play of the game was a pass…
…for a touchdown.
It was exciting.
The fun didn’t stop there! The Chelsea defense produced a touchdown of its own with an interception return.
That was exciting, too.
The Chelsea defense thoroughly stifled the Tecumseh offense, and by the end of the first quarter, the Bulldogs had a 28-0 lead.
Tecumseh fought back in the second quarter, but Chelsea still had a solid 35-20 lead at the half.
To the delight of the homecoming crowd, Tecumseh’s second-quarter momentum didn’t survive halftime.
Chelsea pushed its lead to a healthy 48-20 by the end of the third quarter, and Tecumseh finally seemed resigned to its fate.
Later in the fourth quarter, we had a visitor on the sideline.
Tecumseh scored a touchdown with just a few seconds left in the game, making the final score only slightly less lopsided.
It was exciting.
Chelsea’s next game is at home against Dexter on Friday at 7pm. #BeatDexter
