Last Thursday was the first Thursday in June. That means it was the first Sounds & Sights of 2015! The beautiful weather brought a cheerful crowd to downtown Chelsea.
Once again, Thursdays in June are featuring comedy on the library lawn.
Perennial crowd favorite Creole du Nord was on South Street.
The kids in the crowd were having fun dancing to Creole du Nord’s music.
One of the major attractions of Sounds & Sights is the deliciously portable offering from Smokehouse 52: the Piggy Parfait.
The Piggy Parfait is baked beans, pulled pork, and coleslaw piled into a cup for easy eating as you walk around enjoying the music. It’s available only during Sounds & Sights, so it’s a special treat. I know people who look forward to it all week!
Dave Boutette was in the alley.
Sounds & Sights is fun for all ages.
Kirtland was on Middle Street.
I wasn’t able to check out all the stages this week, so this is an abbreviated set of photos. Next week’s set will be back to normal!
Speaking of which, if you want to join the fun of Sounds & Sights, come to downtown Chelsea from 6:30-8:30pm every Thursday through mid-August! See the schedule and other information here.
Mr. Strong,
I love the pictures you took of my Josey Jane! She’s the little girl in blue. How might I get a copy of your beautiful photos?
Thank you,
Emily Jo
